A simple timeline of how our team was created
2024

- November: 3-person core team established, circulation of initial ideas & brainstorming within the core team happened during this month.
- December: The first Programming Lead committed to the team, expanding the core group to four members. Continued development of ideas, concepts and recruitment strategies.
2025

- January: 2nd Programming lead committed to joining. 5-person core team established. Discussions with EIC were initiated regarding funding and facility utilization. The development of initial interest forms and logistical documentation began.
- March: The non-profit incorporation process was launched. Internal team development continues. Finalization of promotional flyers and interest forms progressed.
- April: Continuation of the non-profit application process. Fieldwork commenced to gauge interest, and final materials for recruitment were completed.
- May: Official non-profit status successfully acquired. The initial interest form is distributed via newsletter to over 1,700 subscribers, commencing the recruitment phase.
- June: Successful outreach yielded approximately 20 interested individuals. The interview process was later held and completed, and the official team roster was finalized. The official team website was launched, and the pursuit of external funding continued.
- July: The inaugural team meeting was held, marking the beginning of the core curriculum and member instruction. Collaborative discussions were initiated with other robotics teams to secure mentoring and resource sharing.
- August: The first iteration of the 2025 competition robot was successfully completed. Development and instruction of new members proceeded concurrently at a productive pace.
- September: Continued sustained progress in robot development and member training. This month was also marked by the successful acquisition of initial corporate sponsorships.
- October: The second iteration of the 2025 competition robot was completed. Additional sponsorships were secured, while curriculum delivery and ongoing development maintained momentum. Collaboration efforts with local teams were actively pursued.
- November: A significant milestone was achieved with the acquisition of a major sponsorship from Gene HAAS. Assembly commenced on the third robot iteration. Progress toward the January competition date is currently well on track.
